Overview
Myself and Ben are currently working with an armature drama group based in an old community hall for their production of wizard of oz, we have been asked to provide lighting and any further technical support required.
Due to this being an old community hall the venue isnt in the best condition which is to be expected so we are currently trying to assess their setup and design a rig using hired kit and also their own older kit. They do have a house rig and spare fixtures which we have been testing and cleaning up for the show.
We also have to consider power they have a very limited amount of power with one single phase socket and a couple of 13 amp sockets, they dont own any of their own dimmers so those will have to be hired in.
We are also considering weight limits on bars, once again being an old venue the stage and FOH bars aren’t in the best condition especially the bar that runs in-between the FOH bars that is only put out for shows.
